The Seychelles Air Force had been using a small petrol tug for the last 10 years, we had a lot of breakdowns and had some issues with spares, which affected our operations drastically. It was then that we started a new project to procure a new aircraft tug that meets our requirements. After some market research we came across the company Airlift tugs and we started the procedure to purchase a new aircraft tug. We went for the Airlift AL45, the procedure itself was straight forward as the company, built the tug from scratch and shipped it to Seychelles. They also travel to Seychelles to give training to our personnel and always gives us the proper after-sale service when required.
Acquiring the Airlift AL45 has proven to be a highly valuable investment for our operations. From the moment it was introduced into service, we saw a significant improvement in efficiency, safety, and overall ground handling performance.
The tug’s reliability and ease of operation have greatly reduced turnaround times, allowing our team to maneuver aircraft with greater precision and confidence. Its robust design and power capability ensure that even under demanding conditions, it performs consistently without compromise, furthermore, with the additional incorporation of the Ground Power Unit (GPU) with the tug, this facilitates the before flight servicing of our technical crew.
Additionally, the ergonomic controls and user-friendly interface have made it easy for our personnel to operate, minimizing training time while enhancing productivity. Most importantly, the increased level of safety it provides, both for ground crew and aircraft, has been a major benefit.
Overall, this acquisition has streamlined our ground operations, reduced operational strain, and reinforced our commitment to maintaining high standards in aviation safety and efficiency. It is undoubtedly a worthwhile investment that continues to deliver tangible results.
Thank you for your usual support and continued cooperation with the Seychelles Air Force.
